Happy transplant anniversary to Bill. It is hard to believe it was 15 years ago today that Bill received his second lease on life. We are grateful for the additional time he has been given and look forward to many more years. Even 15 years later, as I write this post, all the emotions that were experienced during the transplant come flooding back. It was the most difficult experience we both went through, and it was well worth it. Just being able to update this community lightens the emotions.
So much has changed in 15 years. Back then, there were less than 5 people with TPLL that had blogs and information on the internet. Those individuals were our support and life line of information. Some of them became friends, and many of them lost their battles along the journey. We keep this blog active to honor those we lost to TPLL and to give hope to those that find the blog as they begin their journey.
